November 3, 2006If your mayor concern are about safety you can think about Moustique, It's a vip island where locals are all employed by the owners of the villas and resorts. So there isn't poverty.

November 3, 2006I actually booked and then cancelled a holiday to Hawksbill - not because of the hotel, but because of a travel agent mess-up....However, I've looked into Hawksbill and found lots of contradictory comments - some love it and some hate it, which has left me confused.
Caribbean suggestions??
November 3, 2006Not sure you'll find anywhere in the Carribean where you won't get approached by the locals outside of the staid and sterile super exclusive, expensive resorts, which could be anywhere in the world (with palm trees and sandy beaches)...just roll with it, it's all part of the fun of the Carribean and the Carribean people of some of the most fun loving in the world :D

The weather was perfect, the hotel was really great (food, facilities, etc), but the see was in really poor conditions, cold and not clean at all.- I got in just once, and I really do not recomend it-.
